Just like other laptop batteries, the performance of your
Lenovo Laptop Battery may decline over time as you recharge and discharge the device. Although this is normal, you may be able to extend the life span of your
Lenovo Laptop Battery in several ways and troubleshoot battery problems whenever they occur.
Connect the AC adapter properly from the Lenovo laptop to a functioning power outlet. Ensure that the power outlet is working. If the wall outlet is connected to a switch, turn the switch on first to make sure that it is active. Unplug the AC adapter from any secondary power sources such as power strips and surge protectors. Plug it directly into a power outlet instead. If the
lenovo laptop battery is not charging, use a different AC adapter if you have access to one. If it charges successfully, the problem is with the AC power adapter you were using.
Discharge the battery completely if the system shuts down before your Lenovo laptop's battery indicator alerts you that the battery is already empty. This realigns the battery's actual capacity to the "display capacity."
Remove the battery from the laptop compartment at the back of the device because the battery may refuse to charge if it has become too hot. Allow it to cool down first before reinstalling it back into its compartment. Charge the battery again. If the battery refuses to charge, it may have overheated and needs to be replaced.
