Caizares started the best round of his Senior Tour career with birdies on three of the first four holes
Golf irons. But his surge after he made the turn vaulted him atop the leaderboard. The Spaniard began his run of four straight birdies by sinking a 5-foot putt on the 529-yard par-5 10th. After draining a 12-footer for birdie on the par-4 11th, he hit an 8-iron to 8 feet to set up his third successive birdie on the 163-yard par-3 12th. He then hit his drive left on the par-4 13th, but recovered to tap in for his fourth consecutive birdie.
Callaway irons caizares closed his round with birdies on two of the last three holes, including a 12 footer on the par-4 18th.
